The DC-7500 is our new DVSA Connected Equipment compliant MOT decelerometer with wireless Bluetooth connection. It provides accurate brake test results for motorcycles, cars, trucks, and all other types of braked vehicles.
Operation is quick and easy; simply fix the decelerometer to the vehicle and perform a standard brake test (windscreen attachment for cars / trucks and handlebar clamp for motorcycles).
The large LCD display shows options to test the service brake or parking brake and provides clear step-by-step instructions. At the end of the test the results are displayed and saved.
All recorded data is automatically transferred to the PC control station via Bluetooth as soon as the device is within proximity. If using the DC-7500 as Connected MOT Equipment, the data is then seamlessly uploaded to the DVSA’s MOT Testing Service.
When used for regular vehicle safety inspections, tests results can be printed in A4 format from a standard PC printer. The printouts include all the information fleet and heavy machinery operators are required to keep on file.
The DC-7500 is rechargeable and has a long off-charge operational time in excess of a whole day’s testing. Auto-sleep functionality is also built-in to conserve battery life.
Sometimes referred to as a Tapley meter or brake test meter, a decelerometer calculates braking efficiency of both the Service Brake and the Parking Brake by measuring braking forces during a vehicle’s deceleration.
As part of Boston's Connected Equipment family of products, all data acquired from the decelerometer brake tester is also available on the customer's own free dedicated website, together with emissions, roller brake tester and headlight aim tester data.
