MOT Connected Equipment Approved!

Approved for MOT testing, our range of roller brake testers are the latest and most technologically advanced equipment available with our Class 4 and Class 7 models all approved for use as Connected Equipment.  

New to the range in 2019 is our Boston decelerometer DC-7500. This simple to operate handheld brake tester is already approved as Connected Equipment in advance of the DVSA connectivity regulations which will come into force for decelerometers from 1st February 2020. 

The whole range delivers fast, accurate brake testing of motorcycles, cars and light commercial vehicles including four wheel drives. Combined with our very latest SW900 control software with built-in remote support, Boston brake testers are the only choice for progressive, modern workshops.

MOT Connected Equipment Approved!

Boston exhaust emission equipment represents a truly remarkable leap in technology and user-friendliness. Put simply, there is no equivalent.

Our robust, attractive Diesel Smoke Meters and Exhaust Gas Analysers are designed specifically for the busy workshop environment. Both incorporate the fastest MOT software procedures and are approved for use as Connected MOT Equipment.

The Smoke Meter and Gas Analyser modules can be supplied separately or together, and both are available with the added benefit of wireless connectivity. This provides total flexibility when positioning equipment - a big advantage in any workshop. With the addition of RFC-95, our Radio Frequency remote control, both models can be controlled remotely from inside the vehicle.

Approved for Automated Test Lanes (ATL) and one man testing (OPTL), Boston hydraulic play detectors lead the field with more features and benefits than any other unit available on the market. Compared to some, Boston shaker plates provide substantially more force, extra moving-plate travel and a larger plate area.

All models are available with wireless torch control options and in-pit safety stop panels.

Boston's ATL specification headlamp aim tester offers remarkable value with our traditional high quality construction, and capability for testing modern gas filled headlamps. Lateral vehicle adjustment is achieved by using a laser from the mounting pillar and there is also an additional through-the-lens laser to accurately align headlamp centres.

These features are standard and allow for quick and reliable headlamp testing. A light luxmeter is also fitted as standard.
